He noted that, once normalization begins, monetary policy will remain extremely accommodative through the medium term. Following his prepared remarks, he and Laurence Meyer, senior managing director at Macroeconomic Advisers and former Fed governor, participated in a moderated discussion on new directions in monetary policy.
