I. Good morning, and welcome to our Bank.
II. I have had an opportunity to look over the program and the agenda sounds very interesting.
A. The issues are highly debated and discussed at the FOMC meetings and your work results in more
informed policy-making decisions.
B. The Federal Reserve System is fortunate to have such a highly qualified, diverse staff to research and
debate these complex issues.
III. We hope you enjoy your visit to Chicago and thank you again for joining us for this year’s second meet-
ing of the Macroeconomics System Committee.
