9:25 A.M. Cathy Minehan - Closing
All of us here today have a common interest, an
interest in community and civic issues. The NCCJ
embraces the kinds of concerns that we all feel
strongly about: economic development, education,
housing, health care, helping the community, guidance
for our youth, promoting diversity and tolerance. It
takes much time and effort to get some things done.
We are far ahead of many metropolitan cities in what
we have accomplished so far; however, business
leadership must continually be revitalized and
renewed.
I want to thank you all for coming today, sharing your
time, energy and sense of commitment and I look
forward to working with you on the 1997 Dinner
Committee. The planning for the event is well
underway and in good order. Now the task of making
this year's Dinner a success is up to all of us. We
would like to have a record attendance and your
support and involvement will help achieve this. The
hope for this success now rests in your capable hands.
