May 09, 2018 Federal Reserve Board announces approval of application by Ameris Bancorp For release at 1:30 p.m. EDT Share The Federal Reserve Board on Wednesday announced its approval of the application under section 3 of the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 by Ameris Bancorp, Moultrie, Georgia, to acquire Atlantic Coast Financial Corporation ("Atlantic") and thereby indirectly acquire Atlantic's subsidiary bank, Atlantic Coast Bank, both of Jacksonville, Florida.
