December 04, 2007 Approval of proposal by Fortis For immediate release Share The Federal Reserve Board on Tuesday announced its approval of the notice under section 4 of the Bank Holding Company Act by Fortis S.A./N.V., Fortis, N.V., Fortis Brussels S.A./N.V., and Fortis Bank S.A./N.V., all of Brussels, Belgium, to engage in energy management activities, on a limited basis, as an activity that is complementary to the financial activities of engaging regularly as a principal in commodity derivatives and providing financial and investment advisory services for derivatives transactions.
