March 08, 2006 Approval of proposal by Compass Bancshares For immediate release Share The Federal Reserve Board on Wednesday announced its approval of the application under section 3 of the Bank Holding Company Act by Compass Bancshares, Inc., Birmingham, Alabama, to acquire TexasBanc Holding Co., Weatherford, and TexasBank, Fort Worth, both of Texas. The Board also approved the applications under the Bank Merger Act and section 9 of the Federal Reserve Act by Compass Bank, also of Birmingham, to merge with TexasBank and to establish and operate branches at TexasBank's main office and branch locations.
